Flexeye Launches Electronic Healthcare Utility
The ease, accuracy and speed of information exchange are crucially important in the healthcare industry. Communication between healthcare providers and the transfer of patients’ medical records have a direct effect on a patient’s care and treatment. The responsibility for the flow of the bulk of this information (approximately 90 per cent) rests with the administrative staff on the front desk and in the back office.
Flexeye’s Health Information Platform (HIP) is a communication tool designed specifically for the healthcare system. It is a secure, networked software platform that allows administrative staff to communicate and transfer patient data with speed and convenience within the extended healthcare ecosystem of providers, medical insurers, pharmaceuticals and patients (see diagram on left).
The HIP supports a wide range of healthcare service sectors via Flexeye’s Electronic Health Utility (eHU), a hub of structured communication processes dedicated to the external communications in the healthcare process; from initial patient encounter through care providers, drug prescriptions and ultimately the insurer. The HIP is integrated with eHU services.
eHU is deployed on Resilient’s Trust Network thereby ensuring security, privacy, and access rights management are enforced to a unified standard. The Trust Network authenticates and verifies the identity and credentials of system users. It also offers automatic compliance with governance requirements by managing consent and authorization, handling records retention and disclosure management, and maintaining access records for audit.
